Custom Wood Furnishings
For over forty years, Richard Chartrand has designed church interiors and furnishings. His designs are then carefully executed by talented cabinetmakers here and in Europe. Working primarily in oak, the traditional wood used in churches throughout the years, we also work with mahogany, chestnut, poplar, birch, and lindenwood.

We have provided a few samples of this work to illustrate what could be created for your setting. Of course, we work with bronze and marble in conjunction with fine wood craftsmanship.

This Eucharistic shrine combined old and new woodwork to produce an appropriate setting in a new church. The beautiful old bronze tabernacle safe was restored for its new setting
This Presider's Chair with two Side Chairs was designed for a Romanesque style church. Along with the platform, these pieces are made of oak stained to match other sanctuary furnishings. We carved a relief of the parish coat of arms for the main chair. The decorating has gold and silver leaf.
