Crozier No. 1

This crozier is a traditional Gothic style with typical tracery . It is all metal construction and measures 69" high. Your personal coat of arms can be hand engraved on the node. In a silverplated finish as shown the cost is $3,700.00. In a goldplated finish the cost is $3,930.00.

Crozier No. 3

With a contemporary flare, this crozier has an olive branch pattern and dove design to be a symbol of peace. Available with a wooden or metal staff, this measures 72-3/4" high. The cost is $3,300.00 in a silverplated finish and $3,620.00 in a goldplated finish as shown.

Crozier No. 2

The intricate filigree work on this crozier is a Celtic design and measures 72" high. The decorated node has cloisonn fire enameled cabochons. The type of work dating from the Middle Ages uses high heat to produce the enamels. In a silverplated finish the cost is $4,800.00, in a goldplated finish the cost is $5,130.00, and in a two-tone gold and silver finish as shown, the cost is $5,630.00.

 

Crozier No. 4

This crozier with its cross design and finely detailed node has a tapered metal staff. It is completely hand-hammered and measures 68" high. The cost is $7,555.00 in the silverplated finish as shown, or $8,005.00 in a goldplated finish.

 

Crozier No. 6

This elegant medieval style crozier with ancient motifs has a fire enameled design and is finished in antique gold. The exacting detail is all crafted by hand. With a metallic staff it measures 69" high. The cost is $14,505.00.

Chrism Urn No. 501

This sturdy container is made of brass all heavily silverplated and measures 19-1/8" high. The width, including the carrying handles is 11". There is a lift-off top and easy working spigot. The base has a delicate hand-chased pattern. The container holds 5 quarts of oil.

Oil of Catechumens (OC) is used in Baptism, the consecration of churches, the blessing of Altars, and the ordination of priests.
Holy Chrism (SC) is used in Confirmation, Baptism, in the consecration of a Bishop.
Oil of the Sick (OI) is used anointing the infirmed in the Sacrament of the Sick.

Our triple Oil Stock measures 2-1/8" high by 1-1/8" in diameter and has three sections that screw together with a screw-on top. Each section is engraved to identify the oil. This is our No. 730 available silverplated at $225.00 and goldplated at $275.00.

Our single Oil Stock measures 1" high by 1-1/8" in diameter, has a screw-off top and a hinged ring to allow for easy handling with anointing the sick. This is our No. 735 available silverplated at $250.00 and goldplated at $285.00.

Holy Oil Containers

The three Bishops' Oil Stocks pictured on the left are our No. 733 which measures 6" high and has a 3oz. capacity, the cost is $1,395.00; our No. 734 which measures 3-3/4" high also with a 3oz. capacity at $1,295.00 and our Chrism Vial No. 732 with measures 2-3/8" high by 2-1/8" in diameter.

All of these are solid brass, with screw type covers, all goldplated with hand chased decoration. No. 732 has a particularly intricate Celtic pattern and is available silverplated at $1,195.00 or goldplated at $1,295.00.

Bishop's Chrism Vial No. 731 is handcrafted in brass with a screw-off cover engraved CHR with a finely engraved crown of thorns motif along the perimeter. There is a finely turned wooden handle. Overall, this measures 5" in diameter, 10-1/4" long and 1-1/2" high. The cost goldplated is $1,825.00 or silverplated as shown at $1,795.00.

For years we have provided handcarved coats of arms for the bishop's cathedral chair or cathedra.

In any size, we will take your documentation to create a handcarved wooden panel, polychromed and gold and silver leafed in the traditional style. It is customary in North America to depict the arms of a bishop joined on the same shield with the arms of his diocese. The historic Shepherd's wooden crook now fittingly the Bishop's Crozier. Let us design and execute your crozier in oak, walnut or lindenwood. How fitting to have a symbol particular to the Diocese or patron. These are usually made in three sections for easy portability. Let us quote a firm price for your project.

 

 

 


Metal Croziers

The traditional staff of the bishop in Western Churches is shaped like a shepherd's crook. Usually conferred upon a bishop during his ordination to the episcopacy, the crozier is the symbol of the governing office of the Bishop. Below are examples of croziers that we can furnish. This crozier is constructed of a high polish aluminum for its light weight. The head measures 5-1/2" in diameter and is 10-1/4" high. It is available with either a wooden or metal staff. The cost is $2,550.00

 

 

 

 

Crozier No. 8

This crozier is made of solid brass with a hand engraved passion flower design. The head measures 13" high and is 7" in diameter. With a metal pole in a high polish brass finish, the cost is $2,795.00. With a metal pole, in a goldplated finish, the cost is $3,195.00.

 

 

 

Crozier No. 9

This model is solid brass all goldplated with the Dove symbol and ornamented node. The head is 6-1/4" in diameter and measures 11-1/2" high. The cost is $2,675.00.

Crozier No. 10

This sleek contemporary style crozier is made of high polish aluminum for its light weight. The head measures 12-1/4" high and is 5" in diameter. It is available with a a metal or wooden staff at $2,395.00.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mitre and Hook

The traditional Mitre and Hook is suitable for any of our Pectoral Crosses and can be made in a matching finish. In sterling silver the cost is $395.00. In sterling silver, all goldplated, the cost is $425.00.

The extra heavy chain can be furnished in any length desired. The cost of the chain in sterling silver is $5.95 per inch. Made of sterling silver, all goldplated, the cost is $6.95 per inch.

 

 

Pectoral Cross No. 1

This handcrafted pectoral cross measures 3-3/4" by 2-3/4". The Chi Rho symbol in the center is surrounded by a crown of thorns and further decorated with a lily motif. The cost in sterling silver is $1,495.00 and in goldplated sterling silver the cost is $1,650.00.

Custom fitted carrying cases are available for any crozier at the additional cost of $475.00. Most croziers can be made in three or four sections

 

 


Crozier No. W1

To the left, carved in oak with a turned node lightly gilt, this has a portrayal of the Virgin Mary on one side. The other side might be a personal of diocesan coat of arms.

 

 

Crozier No. W4

This crozier carved in walnut shown in two photos above, has a burnished gold leaf node and decorated cross in the crook. The personal coat of arms of the bishop is carved into the front section. This is polychromed and goldleafed.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Crozier No. W3

Above, this crozier is all handcarved in natural oak with a three dimensional open Annunciation of the Virgin Mary. A Lily separates the Virgin and Archangel.

 

 

Crozier No. W2

To the right executed in oak in a two tone finish, the crook has a fully carved dove while the node has raised gold leaf crosses on two sides and the bishop's coat of arms on the rear panel.

Pectoral Cross No. 2

This handcrafted pectoral cross measures 3-1/4" x 2-3/8". The floral design has an amethyst in the center and a circular background with a simple Celtic pattern. The cost in sterling silver is $1,395.00 or goldplated sterling silver as shown is $1,495.00.

Pectoral Cross No. 3

A rather contemporary styled pectoral cross with a raised leaf design and Holy Spirit symbol in the center, it measures 3-1/2" by 2-1/2". Handcrafted in sterling silver the cost is $1,295.00 and goldplated sterling silver the cost is $1,395.00.

Pectoral Cross No. 5

The Classic Gothic style cross has beautifully crafted detail with four amethysts. Measuring 4-1/2 by 3-1/8" it costs $1,825.00 in sterling silver and $1895.00 in goldplated sterling silver as shown.

 

Pectoral Cross No. 4

With finely engraved detail this pectoral cross measures 4-1/2" high by 2-7/8" wide and features a Celtic pattern background with an IHS symbol in the center. In sterling silver the cost is $1,350.00 and goldplated sterling silver the cost is $1,425.00.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Pectoral Cross No. 7

This delicately styles pectoral cross has a rope edge, floral pattern and an IHS symbol in the center. It measures 3-1/2" x 2-5/8" and costs $1,495.00 in sterling silver as hown or $1,650.00 in goldplated sterling silver.

 

Pectoral Cross No. 6

This is the traditional style cross with fleur-de-lis ends and a single amethyst in the center. Measuring 4-1/2" high by 2-7/8" it costs $1,375.00 in sterling and as shown in goldplated sterling silver, $1,495.00.

Pectoral Cross No. 8

This simple pectoral cross has an amethyst in the center and measures 4" by 2-11/16" The cost in sterling silver is $795.00 and in goldplated sterling silver, the cost is $825.00.

These last two Chrism Vials are American made of brass and all goldplated.

No. 901 to the left is 4-1/2" high with a screw-off cover engraved SC. The container itself is 2-3/4" in diameter and 3/4" high. The cost is $395.00.

No. 902 to the right is 12" long with a walnut handle. The container itself is the same as our No. 901 with a screw-off cover and measures 2-3/4" in diameter and 3/4" high.    The cost is $510.00.

Pectoral Cross No. 9

Simple in style with an oval amethyst in the center, this pectoral cross measures 4-1/8" by 3-1/8" and costs $795.00 in sterling silver as shown or $825.00 in goldplated sterling silver.
